Welcome to the Sir Lawrence Health Foundation’s website. I am writing to you on behalf of our organization, which was established to address the challenges that led to the tragic and unnecessary death of my late husband, Sir Lawrence Sr., in a motor accident in Nigeria in 2018. Our mission is to ensure that Nigerians have access to well-equipped medical facilities and to end the preventable loss of life caused by inadequate healthcare.
In Nigeria, many people are facing a shortage of medical equipment, untrained healthcare professionals, and doctors who are not accountable for their actions. This has resulted in many preventable deaths. At Sir Lawrence Health Foundation, we are committed to changing this reality.
Our goal is to identify hospital facilities equipped to save lives in emergencies, provide medical equipment such as ambulances, X-ray machines, blood pressure monitors, and diabetes machines, and develop a resource that disseminates information on well-equipped hospitals and their locations. Additionally, we aim to provide training on how to perform first aid and CPR and to train health advocates who can visit churches, schools, and organizations to provide health awareness on major health issues.
We believe that good health and healthcare are essential to a flourishing society. With education, awareness, and empowerment, we can help prevent needless deaths and enhance the lives of people in Nigeria. We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support in this fight.
