THE HEALTH CENTER INITIATIVE

Most of these deaths are preventable

Too many lives in Nigeria are lost not to untreatable illness, but to gaps that can be closed: a lack of emergency skills when seconds count, conditions caught too late, and communities without access to basic health knowledge.

The Sir Lawrence Health Education Center is built to close those gaps. We train people in first aid and CPR, send health advocates into churches, schools, and communities, and provide the equipment and screenings that catch problems before they become tragedies.

2–3×

Immediate CPR can double or triple someone's chance of surviving cardiac arrest — which is why we train families and advocates to act.

~29%

of deaths in Nigeria come from conditions like hypertension and diabetes — yet fewer than 1 in 3 adults with high blood pressure know they have it. Screening changes that.

60M

deaths could be prevented by 2030 through stronger primary care and health education — the everyday awareness and empowerment at the heart of our work.
